Hello NCPMI Members,
This is Denise Baker, VP of Professional Development, writing on behalf of the President, Myriam Augustin and the board of directors.
As VP of Professional development, it is vital to understand what you as the members want from workshop offerings to enhance your skill sets as a project manager. We’ve hosted a couple of workshops this year and I welcome suggestions for different types of learning sessions that would be of interest in your project management development. This position is also supported by Director, Carolyn Evans. She has piloted the NCPMI Book club with opportunity to claim PDU’s. The book for June meeting is Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek. More details on the website.
The other major responsibility under Professional Development is the Annual Conference. The conference Director for 2017 is Camille Spruill. The conference has many moving parts and Camille has a fantastic team of volunteers dedicating hours to ensure the best experience for our attendees.
Registration will open on May 25, 2017. You will earn 7 PDUs for attending this all day event. During this all day conference, Project Managers and other industry professionals will exchange knowledge, network with your peers, and receive valuable insights. The conference will provide professional development opportunities for project managers of all skill levels. This is also a great opportunity for our sponsors to meet project managers seeking career transition and matching the interests, skills, and experience to their needs. We look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you for allowing me to serve our chapter.
