Richard is a seasoned project manager with experience working with local, State, and Federal data systems. In his career, Richard has implemented statewide data systems, authored traffic records strategic plans, and developed noteworthy practices for State traffic records systems. He now works for the City of Durham as Project Manager within the City’s Technology Solutions division. Richard obtained his PMP certification in 2018 and has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina in Technology Support and Training Management.
In 2019, Richard became an active volunteer within the NCPMI Membership Team. In 2021, he took on the NextGen Director role to bring emerging professionals into project management. Richard now serves as the VP of Professional Development.
In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, enhancing his skills as a mechanic, woodworker, and martial artist, volunteering with other social change organizations, and curating his Transformer collection.
