Abstract:

Toastmasters International’s The Successful Club Series is a set of programs addressing the subject of quality club meetings. Members and guests will learn about the skills and standards they must strive to achieve if their club is to be successful.

Today’s presentation will focus on the “Evaluate to Motivate” education program, this program provide guidance for effective speech evaluations.

In this presentation, the speaker will share proven techniques to give a speech evaluations that benefits the speaker and the audience. These techniques can be conducted successfully in volunteer group, family and professional environments.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will get a better understanding of the following:

1. How to evaluate effectively

2. Using the “TELL AND SELL” approach

3. How to avoid being disingenuous

About the Speaker:

Zbigniew, Zbig, or just Big Z, is a civil-engineering faculty member at Duke and does research on groundwater flow and remediation. He joined Toastmasters in 2010. Zbig served as a division and area governor and in multiple club officer positions. Sponsor and a Founding Member of the North Carolina Project Leaders Toastmasters club as well as a member of 3 other clubs, he strongly believes in Toastmasters mission and preaches it to anyone willing to listen. Naturalized United States citizen, who was born and raised behind the Iron Curtain, Zbig cherishes freedoms and opportunities granted by this country. He follows politics with passion and occasionally writes about it on Mic.com.

    1. This meeting is free for NCPMI & North Carolina Project Leaders Toastmasters (NCPL) members

    3. Snack/Finger food will be provided
    4. PDUs will be reported by NCPMI
    5. PMPs are required to provide their PMI numbers in order that their PDUs can be reported
    6. Please arrive on time in order that the meeting can start promptly
    7. Please leave the facility in equal or better condition than you found it
    8. The meeting will take place at Cisco in Building 12, 7200 Kit Creek Rd, Morrisville, NC.  Click on Location for directions.  When you arrive, PLEASE LOOK FOR THE NCPMI & North Carolina Project Leaders Toastmasters signs.
