An Introduction to Team Psychological Safety as a Requirement for High Performance Teams

Abstract

Gain an introductory knowledge and understanding of team psychological safety and its importance in developing high performance teams. Google’s Project Aristotle says that team psychological safety is by far the most important attribute of high performance teams.

Session attendees will assess a team of their choice, such as their own work team, with an assessment instrument. Using their assessments, attendees will learn how to score and interpret the instrument’s results. Small group discussions and large group discussions will explore how to create and foster team psychological safety.

He is a Master of Ceremonies for the North Carolina Chapter of the Project Management Institute (NC PMI) and Director of Programs Operations. He is Corporate Alliances and Partnerships Director of the Research Triangle Park’s Network of Women in Tech International (RTP-WITI).
