Communications CoP: No Social Distancing: Dealing with “Rona

People are social beings. Project managers are responsible for the social interactions of those they lead. In fact, their role may better be described as “People” Managers instead of “Project” Managers. If the people are managed, the project gets done. With the pandemic, the challenge to manage people is even harder. But social distancing is NOT the way to do it.

Objective:

• the social nature of people
• the risks of social distancing
• social needs during these trying times
• specific action steps to address these social needs

About the Speaker:

Dea Irby has been managing projects of all types since her marriage to Tom 46 years ago. She's managed raising 8 children, each was a project unto itself!  She is a social person, known for her networking skills, and belongs to two Toastmasters Clubs, is a member of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), The Alliance, a founding member of Virtual Resources Community, an AirBnB host, an Eatwith host, a member of CAC Writers' Group, to name a few social involvements. She is a TEDX speaker and published author. Dea is also a Realtor with Keller Williams in the Research Triangle area, managing home buying and selling transactions and host of "The Homeowner Connector: Bringing YOU the Best" video series on Youtube.
