He joined Toastma sters International July 2013. Elmer serves as the 2019-2020 District 37 District Director and is responsible for working with the District Leader ship team to provide programs and resources to support 234 active Toastmas ters clubs within 11 Divisions in the state of North Carolina. Elmer holds officer roles in two Toastmasters clubs and has earned his second Disting uished Toastmasters Award November 16\, 2018. Elmer earned his first DTM A ugust 2016. As a certified project manager professional (PMP)\, with tec hnical certifications in network security\, Apple and PC hardware\, video collaboration systems\, Elmer provides secure technology solutions to smal l and medium businesses. When he is not working\, speaking or serving\, Elmer enjoys traveling with his wife Sharon who is a Distinguished Toastma ster and past International Director. Their travels have taken them to Kua la Lampur in Malaysia\, Shanghai China\, Japan\, South Korea\, Havana Cuba and most recently Columbia and Peru in South America. However\, Las Vegas remains a favorite destination.
