 Abstract
 By having so many different types of thinking – st
 emming from different upbringings\, mindsets\, or backgrounds – project 
 managers and their teams need to be aware of how not to offend unintention
 ally.&nbsp\;Both in the workplace and in life we need to avoid generalizat
 ions and be sensitive to other cultures.
 Diversity in the workplace adds
  a special richness\, but also special challenges.

 eaker and MBA spent more than 20 years as a development and marketing mana
 ger at Fortune 500 giant IBM.
 She is the president of Sharon Hill Intern
 ational which is her motivational and educational speaking business. Sharo
 n is a certified etiquette trainer\, trained by the American Business Etiq
 uette Trainers Association.
 Combining her passion for business etiquette
 \, diversity in the workplace and her MBA research on Organizational Behav
 ior\, Sharon is recognized as an authority on American business etiquette 
 for companies\, universities\, groups\, associations and individuals.
