The ability to communicate effectively is perhaps the most important life skill, impacting all aspects of your life both personally and professionally. This skill can take a lifetime to master. However, there are ways to maximize your personal development, moving you in the direction of becoming an effective communicator.

In this session, Darlena will discuss 5 keys to effective communication.

About the Speaker

Darlena Swann, MBA, DTM, joined Toastmasters International to overcome her fear of public speaking. In June year she achieved her Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)--the organization's highest educational award. She is a member of two clubs: Blue Devil and Bull City Toastmasters. In 2018-19 she served as Area Director and earned the Select Distinguished status.

Darlena is an educator in the Durham Public School System, CEO and Founder of her own nonprofit, Boss Lady Enterprise, and author of the motivational book titled, "The Ladybug - Words from the Heart." Her passions are community outreach service, youth mentoring, professional development and yoga.
