With the emphasis on Agile, Lean, small teams, fail early and fast, etc. it seems that at times project management is a dead and unnecessary art. True? If we use a narrow definition of PM, probably yes. If we use a broad definition, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Project Management is and continues to be positioned to be a major enabling capability for organizations of all sizes. Come and learn how to expand your PM horizons and become indispensable to your organization.

About the Speaker: Jose Solera, MBA, PMP, CSM, CSPO, CSP, CBPM and Leadership Coach
Jose Solera, MBA, PMP, CSM, CSPO, CSP has over 25 years of experience serving as a global project and program IT executive (CIO, CDO or Director) with proven ability to accelerate and deliver projects and programs to delight customers. Currently serving as CIO for both LISI (General Agency in the medical insurance field) and CoPower (Third Party Administrator also in the medical insurance field), He leads the IT organizations in their IT modernization effort and development of new capabilities, replacing home-grown technology stack with SaaS capabilities (Salesforce- and AWS-based).
Jose is also a Leadership Coach with Delta Leadership, coaching Leadership Program participants and global MBA students on understanding, developing, and improving their leadership skills through the Six Domain Leadership model (see details at http://deltaleadership.com/).
Jose also serves as a member of the Triangle Technology Executives Council (TTEC) Board of Directors, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with a membership base of IT executives in Research Triangle Park area. TTEC is dedicated to leveraging technology to further the economic development of the region of through the education and collaboration among its membership.
Jose is a frequent speaker at PMI events, including the PMI Chapter Annual Conference and Chapter Meetings.
