Team Overview:

The Veterans Networking Group provides a forum for veterans to aid them in finding employment and transitioning into society and to obtain civilian employment.  This work is largely done through the community of NCPMI veterans and transitioning veterans when they assist each other through networking, obtaining professional certifications, share information about openings and career opportunities, and generally support each other.  Two Co-Chair positions exist in a job-sharing arrangement to ensure that at least one Co-Chair is available to attend all the NCPMI Chapter meetings in a year.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the VNG meetings prior to each NCPMI chapter meeting.
  • Prepare and distribute VNG notes within 7 days after each meeting.
  • Host veteran guests at chapter meetings.
  • Assist veterans' guests to obtain information about PMI, NCPMI, and careers in project management.
  • Assist in maintaining current content on the NCPMI VNG web site.
  • Assist the Director of Military Operations as needed.
  • Maintain a strong collaborative working relationship with the other Co-Chair.

  • Be a veteran possessing or aspiring for a PMI certification.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to put guests at ease.
  • Ability to respond to any guest veterans’ questions quickly after the NCPMI meeting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be interacting with guests of NCPMI regularly.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Attendance at 7 of the 10 NCPMI Chapter meetings held annually.
