Job Roles and Responsibilities: 

Provide a person with the tools and the skills you set the person for life.  Project Management skills have the power to create business results, improve quality and move businesses forward.  One project at a time, one non-profit organization or charitable group at a time NCPMI will leverage its project practitioners’ community give back and make a difference.  As such creating opportunities to get involved while applying our PM skills through various local and community initiatives.  This perfectly aligns with PMI Education Foundation mission to bring “the benefits and the power of project management to local communities and to the farthest reaches of the world for social good.” 

Requirements:

·          Facilitator / Trainer a plus

Job Description

This director role will oversee all aspects of NCPMI Chapter Meeting Sponsorships.

Job Roles and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the success of NCPMI Chapter Meetings.

This responsibility includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Assistant and partner with Directors of Outreach, Careers, Communications and Meeting Operations
  2. Supports VP Programs in Event Planning, Business Development and Strategic Planning
  3. Partners across the organization to support all business development partnerships
  4. Owns and develops Programs Sponsorship Marketing
  5. Acts as the liaison for Programs Sponsors, developing partnership capability
  6. Assists Sponsors with Chapter Meeting participation including development of collateral and organization of vendor stations
  7. Champions sponsorships for NCPMI as an organization

Requirements:

            Certified PMP or CAPM strongly preferred; other PMI certifications acceptable

            A member in good standing with PMI and the NCPMI Chapter

            Good organizational and written/verbal skills

            Marketing knowledge helpful

            Computer, internet and Email access are essential

            Ability to work with others to achieve consensus

            Strong Networking skills

            Strong public speaking skills

            One year minimum commitment to the role

Outreach  Team Lead - Corporate

Job Description

Reach out to the various companies in the RTP area and educate them on the benefits of been involved with the NCPMI chapter. Solicit avenues (such as speaker opportunities, employee involvement in NCPMI, sponsorship of a chapter meeting or annual event.) in which the company can be more active  within the NCPMI chapter,

 Job Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting the Director of Outreach with finding, identifying and assisting Companies in the RTP area become more active in the NCPMI chapter. This responsibility includes, but not limited to the following:
  • Contacting companies and proving information about NCPMI
  • Lead the collaboration efforts with companies in ensuring more participation in the NCPMI chapter. This includes:
    • Promotion of the benefits of NCPMI chapter membership for employees
    • Communication of the opportunity for company personnel to speak at either a chapter meeting, community of practice meeting or annual event
    • Collaboration with the Director of Sponsorship regarding the various sponsorship avenues available for company sponsorship
  • Assisting the Director of Outreach in the execution of the goals established for the corporate outreach team

Requirements:

  •  A member in good standing with PMI and the NCPMI Chapter
  • Good Communication (written/verbal) skill
  • Good organizational  skill
  • Proactiveness and can-do attitude
  • Ability to reach out to companies to inquire and provide information about NCPMI
  • Marketing knowledge helpful

  • Ability to work with other NCPMI teams to achieve group consensus  and objectives

Director, Programs Operations

Job Description

This director role will oversee programs within NCPMI.

Job Roles and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the success of NCPMI Programs which include Chapter Meetings. Careers, Communications, Speakers, Sponsorships and Outreach.

This responsibility includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Assistant and partner with Directors of Sponsorship, Outreach, Careers, Communication and Meeting Operations
  2. Supports VP Programs in Annual Planning, Budget Development and Strategic Planning
  3. Manages special programs including but not limited to Satellite meetings
  4. Acts as chairperson for the Speakers Committee, Partnership Committee and Outreach Committee
  5. Under guidance of the VP Programs, this position will track Programs service delivery performance and value creation
  6. Coordinating the activities of the Programs organization with other NCPMI BoD verticals
  7. Capable of providing active leadership and collaboration at the NCPMI BoD level
  8. Performs long range planning in alignment with PMI’s Strategic Vision, NCPMI Chapter Goals and best practices in the Project Management Profession

Requirements:

Next Generation Coordinator

Team Overview:

The next generation panel is being developed to address the needs of our upcoming project manager members.  This team also seeks to advise the chapter on how to recruit the next generation of project leaders. We are seeking candidates that are new to project management, new college graduates, or at the beginning of their careers.  We believe we need folks that are in this part of their career to tell us how to reach others at the same point.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy for reaching next generation of project leaders.
  • Recommend tactics for engaging, supporting, and developing next generation of project leaders.
  • Initially, we need help brainstorming and coming up with ideas of how to support this population.
  • Once strategy is set, we will define roles more definitively.

Requirements:

  • No experience necessary.
  • We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers that want to help us reach our next project managers.

Deliverables:

  • Brainstorming sessions for NextGen strategy.
