Job Description

The NCPMI Mentorship Program serves chapter members to offer a structured framework that provides guidance to, and connects, mentors and mentees. As Mentorship Coordinator, you will be a vital resource to our membership and help to drive value-added services for the professional development of PMI members.

Job Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinator: Contribute to the development of the mentorship program and facilitate activities required for program operations. This includes attendance at monthly chapter meetings (in person) and mentorship team meetings (in person or virtual meeting).
  • Assessment: Review applications and create profiles based on individual needs, experience, and objectives. Pair candidates with appropriate counterpart to establish successful outcomes.
  • Liaison: Represent the mentorship program by addressing inquiries from program participants, provide guidance base on program recommendations, and collect input from mentors\mentees to ensure participant expectations are being meet.


  • Previous experience as a mentor or mentee.

  • Management or leadership experience – 3+ years

  • Certified PMP or CAPM strongly preferred; other PMI certifications acceptable

  • A member in good standing with PMI and the NCPMI Chapter

  • Good organizational and written / verbal skills

  • Internet and Email access are essential

  • Strong Networking skills and an outgoing, people person
