Greetings NCPMI Members,
This is Jessica Johnson, VP of Membership, writing on behalf of the President, Myriam Augustin, and our entire board of directors.
As VP of membership, I have a responsibility to ensure that as members, you are getting value from the dues you pay into our chapter. I often stop to reflect on what this means. I believe a lot of you would tell us that you joined and stayed involved to network or gain PDUs, but there is always more to it than what you see on the surface. If there is anything we as a chapter could offer, but don't, I want to hear from you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to myself or anyone on the board. It is my sincere hope that this is a place where we can come together as project managers, network, and give back to our community, here in the Triangle.
The second largest responsibility that falls under membership is our volunteer team. Did you know that everyone that makes NCPMI run, including the board, are all volunteers? Volunteers and everything that goes into the team, from recruiting through recognition, is run by Director of Volunteers, Julie Ploscyca. Keep an eye out for some new things she will be implementing this year. If you haven't considered volunteering, I hope that you will reach out, as we have many opportunities available. Do you have a skill set we don't even know we need? Speak up!
As always, your board is here for you. I am looking forward to what the next quarter brings, and I hope that you are too!
