As we bid goodbye to February and march forward, with spring not too far away over the horizon, I hope all of you are continuing to enjoy the benefits offered by our chapter.
A number of our chapter volunteers and leaders will be headed to Atlanta in early March to attend the Region 5 and 14 Leadership Conference for some networking, some interaction with other chapters, and to bring back good ideas to help us advance our own chapter.
Our chapter offers several different opportunities for those of you interested in volunteering. In addition to our annual conference and our monthly chapter meetings, we have a lot more options available to you. I encourage you to learn about them on our website and in our periodic newsletters.
Our communities of practice offer a great way for you to get engaged in smaller and more focused interest groups. We currently have seven active groups, plus we are very excited to be rolling out the brand new Global Project Management Community of Practice which involves another PMI chapter from a different part of the world. Look for upcoming opportunities to take advantage of this new community of practice to broaden your horizons, expand your knowledge, and meet new friends. Please stay tuned.
Finally, let us not forget to take time out, celebrate, have fun, and enjoy some nice Irish beer for St. Patrick’s Day!
Let’s march forward!
