Hello Fellow NCPMI Members,
It’s the start of the New Year and I am looking forward to serving as your President. The excitement is not mine alone. The entire elected board is enthusiastic about our plans for this year. We will continue to build on the strength of the project management profession and the latest developments in Digital Technology and offer newer ways of engaging with NCPMI to our members and partners.
In addition to attending the monthly Chapter meetings for PDUs – NCPMI has other offerings to maintain your professional development and growth for example:
- Certifications – The Spring 2020 PMP Prep class will be held in Feb 2020.
- Professional Development – It’s important that we all continue to grow in both the technical and soft skills that make project management such a vital role in any organization. To that end we will have workshops, Next Gen events and the Annual Conference. Go ahead and save the date in August 2020 in your new 2020 calendar.
- 8 Communities of Practice (CoP) – If you are not familiar with what a CoP is or what eight CoPs NCPMI has, please visit our website to learn more. You can also search for meetings, topics and locations under the Events Tab.
I would like to see all of us embrace the ongoing Digital Transformation as an opportunity for further professional and personal growth. I intend to strengthen the outreach to our “Next Gen” members, have them actively involved, and make our Chapter a valuable resource for them. I am committed to continuing to build on our PMIEF and Community involvement for Social Good initiatives to benefit our community at large. We will also continue to build upon, engage and grow our relationships with our partners from industry, academia and the not for profit community.
As we launch various initiatives, your ideas and involvement will be key in making this successful. If you have not already included Volunteering on your list of 2020 resolutions, consider doing so, because we have a place for you!
All the best,
2020 President, NCPMI
