Please join me in recognizing Kevin Hackney as November’s volunteer spotlight winner.
Julie Fischer has nominated Kevin for the Volunteer spotlight for his role as a Veteran Mentor part of the military liaison team. As a US Army Veteran and PMP, Kevin has first-hand experience in transition from military service to civilian employment. Kevin lives out his values by giving back to the community. As a NCPMI volunteer Veteran Mentor, he shares his unique perspective with transition service members who are exploring the benefits of PMI membership and project management careers.
Kevin always provides a warm welcome to prospective and experienced members during Veteran Network Group meetings, enables networking opportunities, and has assisted mentees with their PMP application and job search processes. Mentees appreciate Kevin for combatting uncertainties, translating military experience into civilian and PMI terms, and celebrating victories like passing the PMP exam and accepting job offers! Kevin enables a supportive community and is always ready for the next veteran in transition.
Kevin joined the Veterans Network Group and PMIs Operation Qualify for Hire program at inception in 2016 and has been providing phenomenal mentorship and counsel to 4 mentees and numerous members ever since.
Thank you, Kevin for your contributions to NCPMI!
