Atul Peres-da-Silva nominated Azrum for her role as Global CoP Chair. In four short months, Azrum has been able to coordinate the first global collaboration between two chapters, almost 8000 miles apart, to provide structured learning environment for shared ideas and information. Azrum was able to successfully bring together the meetings with over 100 participants.
As a result of her leadership, she has helped NCPMI with the sharing of best practices, and lessons learned specific to global issues and offered our members benefits from Global collaboration with Project Management practitioners from a different professional, cultural and business setting than North Carolina.
Azrum says “Joining the Global CoP as Chair in January 2019 has made me feel proud to be a part of an effort to address global issues in Project Management. This is especially important now more than ever as project management is evolving across the globe.”
Azrum was born in Istanbul, TK but was raised in NYC from the age of one. She relocated to NC six years ago. As a mom of twins, she tries to teach her children the skills she has learned and uses daily. There is the constant reminder that project manager is not a title / role, however it is about people manage things in our own l lives at home, work, school or volunteering.
Thank you Azrum for your hard work and commitment as Global CoP. Truly bringing NCPMI to the Global Scale.
