NCPMI Board Message — March 2026
March brings the promise of spring—a season of renewal, fresh energy, and new possibilities. As we watch our community begin to bloom again, I’m reminded that growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when we choose to show up with intention, optimism, and a willingness to invest in one another.
This month, I encourage each of us to embrace the PMI culture and consistently exhibit the behaviors that bring it to life: collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, curiosity, and service. Culture isn’t a poster on the wall—it’s what people experience in our meetings, our communications, our volunteering, and our leadership decisions. When we lead with respect and purpose, we create the conditions for members to connect, learn, and thrive.
As your 2026 Past President, I’m grateful to continue serving this chapter and to stay deeply committed to supporting our leadership team and membership in meaningful, hands-on ways. In the months ahead, I’ll be focused on three key areas:
First, I’m continuing my commitment to support chapter engagement by mentoring the Chapter Outreach Committee. Outreach is where connection begins, and I’m excited to help strengthen how we build relationships across our community and welcome new members into the chapter experience. The Committee will actively be supporting a Non-Profit Center for Volunteer Caregivers through a special project that we’ll be announcing soon. This initiative reflects what our chapter does best—using project leadership skills to deliver real impact for the people and organizations that need it most.
Second, I’m proud to support our Scholarship efforts as we prepare for the Spring Scholarship Application period launching in April. This cycle will offer five scholarships of up to $1,000 each, helping recipients pursue professional development and take their next step forward. I hope you’ll help us spread the word so we reach strong candidates across our community.
Finally—and of great importance—I am working closely with the 2026 Elections Committee to recruit and identify potential new leaders to fill positions for the 2027 Board roster. Leadership continuity is one of the most powerful ways we protect the chapter’s momentum. If you’ve been considering a larger role, or if you know someone who would lead with heart and excellence, I encourage you to raise your hand or share their name with the committee. Our future is built by the leaders we develop today.
