Damien N Perez - President Elect

Damien N. Perez is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving over 20 years in the field of aviation.  A military leader, Damien has led military aviation maintenance squadrons across multiple airframes and systems from large transport fixed-wing to rotary-wing special operations aircraft. Damien’s efforts have directly impacted operations and missions throughout the world supporting such units as the 82nd Airborne Division and Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC).

Developing a life-long love of learning at an early age and a passion for sharing, Damien has instructor experience across multiple industries such as aviation, real estate, education, and business/management. His experience in leadership and project management distinctively qualifies Damien as an advocate for the project management skill set embracing roles in PM Skills for Life and PM for Social Good programs.  He received his master’s from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with dual specialization in Operations and Project Management. In addition, he has earned multiple certifications such as Project Management Professional.

Damien has led multimillion-dollar projects in the military, held leadership positions in several nonprofits, and devoted time as a management and leadership consultant.  He currently displays his enthusiasm for educational outreach serving as High-School and Middle-School Educator for a Project-Based Learning Charter School in Lee County North Carolina.

A native of New Jersey, Damien now calls North Carolina home settling here after military retirement. He enjoys family time with his five children and wife of over 15 years. Hobbies include recreational sports with friends and running where Damien finds joy and peace in being outdoors.
