Communications and Public Speaking CoP: How to Fail Successfully
Abstract:
Benjamin Franklin famously wrote “in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes”. There is a third certainty he could have included in his list: “Failure”. Just like death and taxes, nobody enjoys talking about failure, but it is something we all experience repeatedly. In tonight’s speech, Andrew Macintyre will discuss the benefits of failing and share tips on how to handle failure both individually and as a leader or member of a team.
Learning Objectives:
- Failure does not mean defeat
- Failure develops endurance / perseverance
- Failure develops new ideals and collaboration among teams
