Speaker Bio:

Sal Asad, a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and a Project Management Professional (PMP), is an active member of Toastmasters International and Project Management Institute Central Virginia Chapter.

Sal has been a Toastmaster since 1999. He was named Toastmaster of the Year, Area Governor and Division Governor of the year. He is the recipient of Excellence in Education and Training and Excellence in Leadership Awards.

Sal was elected and served on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors for two years from 2008-2010. He was reappointed to the Board of Directors again and served from March 2019 to August 2021. He was also appointed by the Toastmasters International President and Board of Directors as a Region Advisor (RA) for a two-year term from 2013 to 2015.

Sal is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond (LMR) class of 2003, has earned his DTM in October 2004 and his Project Management Certification (PMP) in January 2009. He conducts communications and leadership training seminars and workshops inside and outside Toastmasters.

Sal holds two Masters Degrees: in Aeronautical Engineering and in Computer Systems. He lives with his wife, Zena, in Richmond Virginia. They have five children and five grandchildren.
