Abstract

What is “The Magic in the Meal?” Has the magic disappeared? How has “The Magic in the Meal” changed history? Do people have family meals anymore? Research suggests that:
  • millennials don’t want formal dining rooms anymore
  • 20% of Americans eat in their car, and
  • 65% of Americans eat lunch alone at their desks.
Where is the magic? Food has the power to bring people together, because everyone has to eat. Dea believes that people still want to experience the magic of enjoying a meal together and has recommendations for restoring it.
