This is a NCPMI Communication & Public Speaking CoP- NCPL Toastmasters Club Meeting. 

The Meeting includes prepared speech, table topics, networking, evaluations, jokes and multiple meeting operations roles.

Abstract:  

Most Toastmasters are currently working through their Competent Communicator manual, or have completed the manual or are working through the manual for the second or third time or more!  This presentation will go back to some of the CC manual basics and focus on a few areas that can take your speaking to the next level.

Learning Objectives:  

Attendees will get a better understanding of the following:

1. Capturing and keeping your audience’s attention
2. Increasing your confidence and credibility with your audience
3. Choosing the right words to add value, meaning and impact to your speech
4. Using body language and voice to convey a stronger message

About the Speaker:

Sandy has been in Toastmasters for 9 years and has earned the award of Distinguished Toastmaster.  She has been a club president, area director, division director, District 37 Education Chair, District 37 Chief Judge, and has helped charter a number of clubs in the Triangle area. She loves to mentor individual Toastmasters or Toastmaster clubs and this next year will be the District 37 Contest Chair.

Outside of Toastmasters, Sandy has worked with IBM for over 30 years as a Marketing Manager, and is an active member of the local American Marketing Association chapter. 

She loves to travel whether for business or for vacation. She is also a runner, swimmer, and gardener, host of international visitors, mentor, coach, and mom to 6 beautiful cats!

1. This meeting is free for NCPMI & North Carolina Project Leaders Toastmasters (NCPL) members

3. Snack/Finger food will be provided
4. PDUs will be reported by NCPMI
5. PMPs are required to provide their PMI numbers in order that their PDUs can be reported
6. Please arrive on time in order that the meeting can start promptly
7. Please leave the facility in equal or better condition than you found it
8. The meeting will take place at Cisco in Building 12, 7200 Kit Creek Rd, Morrisville, NC.  Click on Location for directions.  When you arrive, PLEASE LOOK FOR THE NCPMI & North Carolina Project Leaders Toastmasters signs.
