Communications CoP: Pathways - Find Your Path in 2018
This is a NCPMI Communication & Public Speaking CoP- NCPL Toastmasters Club Meeting. The Meeting includes prepared speech, table topics, networking, evaluations, jokes and multiple meeting operations roles.

Toastmasters’ new education program - Pathways is designed to help you build the skills you need to communicate and lead. It is comprised of 10 paths that teach more than 300 unique competencies. This presentation will examine the 10 path and provide explanation of the education program to allow you to FIND YOUR PATH and start your personal and professional development journey through Pathways. As you progress through Pathways, you will:
- Practice and improve your communication and leadership skills.
- Give speeches in your club based on assignments in Pathways.
- Challenge yourself to build and refine certain competencies and skills.
- Complete a range of projects that include persuasive speaking, motivating others, creating a podcast and leading a group in a difficult situation.
- Develop real-world, transferable skills in many different areas through Pathways—communication, leadership, management, strategic planning, service to others, public speaking and more.

About the Speakers:
Donovan Henry, MBA, MPM, PMP
Donovan, Is a manufacturing executive, certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and the 2018 President for North Carolina Chapter of the Project Management Institute (NCPMI).
He is currently a Toastmasters Pathways Guide. He has extensive project and program management experience. Since 2002 Donovan has successfully managed multiple projects from initiation to closing
Peggy Beach, DTM, PDG
Peggy Beach is a public relations professional with a background in public speaking, program administration, event planning and journalism. She is a Communications Consultant, Writer, Editor and Instructor .In the last 15 years, she coordinated more than 100 events including awards luncheons, workshops, receptions, conferences, and meetings. In addition she delivered more than 1000 presentations on subjects including financial planning, the Toastmasters education program, as well as issues in higher education and state government.
As a program administrator in state government, she worked closely with representatives from most of the 36 state agencies, 16 public universities and 58 community colleges.
During her career in journalism, she worked in newspaper, radio and cable TV. She is a past Toastmasters district governor and the current Toastmasters District 37 pathways ambassador.

- Space is limited if you register and cannot attend, please update the Chairperson in order that your space can be allocated to members on the standby list. -
