- PDUs will be reported by NCPMI
- PMPs are required to provide their PMI numbers in order that their PDUs can be reported
- Please arrive on time in order that the meeting can start promptly
- Please leave the facility in equal or better condition than you found it
- The meeting will take place at Cisco in Building 11, 7200 Kit Creek Rd., Morrisville, NC. Click on Location for directions. When you arrive, go around the left side when facing the building. Park, take the stairs and enter the last door on your left.

Abstract:
“Good communicators tend to be good leaders” ………… Toastmasters International.
Communicators and leadership are two of the most important skills of effective project managers. The NCPMI Communication and Public Speaking Cop and the NCPL Toastmasters Club Practice is created to provide a structured, friendly, empowering and supportive, learning environment to improve the speaking, listening and leadership skills of Project Managers and individuals interested in Project Management
In this keynote launch presentation the speaker will give an overview of proven strategies and techniques to improve your communication and leadership skill. In addition the meeting agenda will include presentation by NCPMI and NCPL Board members with a shortened demo toastmasters meeting to highlight the benefits of Toastmasters training membership and benefits along with benefits from the Communication and Public Speaking Cop.
Learning Objectives:
Attendee will get a better understanding of the following:
- Toastmasters Education Program
- Learn by doing -Develop communication and leadership potential
- How to offer constructive criticism
- How to Conduct meetings
- Hone management skills
About the Speaker:
Zbigniew Kabala, PhD, DTM
President- North Carolina Project Leaders Toastmasters Club.
Zbigniew, Zbig, or just Big Z, is a civil-engineering faculty member at Duke and does research on groundwater flow and remediation. He joined Toastmasters in 2010. Zbig served as a division and area governor and in multiple club officer positions. Sponsor and a Founding Member of this club as well as a member of 3 other clubs, he strongly believes in Toastmasters mission and preaches it to anyone willing to listen. Naturalized United States citizen, who was born and raised behind the Iron Curtain, Zbig cherishes freedoms and opportunities granted by this country. He follows politics with passion and occasionally writes about it on Mic.com.
