Abstract
By having so many different types of thinking – stemming from different upbringings, mindsets, or backgrounds – project managers and their teams need to be aware of how not to offend unintentionally. Both in the workplace and in life we need to avoid generalizations and be sensitive to other cultures.
Diversity in the workplace adds a special richness, but also special challenges.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the session you will know:
- How to develop effective working relationships with diverse people at work
- How to start with similarities, not differences, among people when you build relationships.
- How regardless of position in the organization, relationships are critical for your success.
