Prof. Dev. - Practicing Self Renewal Workshop
Abstract
Health and Fitness are things in life that sometimes can be taken for granted. We know that every day we must wake up, get ourselves and/or our families up and out the door for work/school. We also know that the stresses of life and work can constantly feel like they have overtaken our whole life!
Our goal with this workshop is to help make health and fitness a part of your lives. When Project managers neglect health because they don’t think they have the time, they pay for it later in lost productivity and possible individual burnout. The workshop aims to educate you in how health and fitness can be achieved in an effective/efficient manner.
Finally, with safety always in mind, we will share with you some very useful exercise techniques you a can incorporate into your day. Proper position of the back, core, feet, etc. in these exercises is essential in getting the best results and staying safe!
In the workshop we will:
- Review the core principles of exercise.
- Perform exercises that can be done in the gym or at work.
- Observe and practice the proper techniques of those exercises to prevent injury
- Review Common exercise mistakes.
- Receive easy to follow nutritional tips.
- Learn the anatomy associated with activities of daily life and how exercise can relate.
- Discover how YOU can incorporate exercise into your life and within your project teams!
