Please join NCPMI in partnership with Kramden Institute for a Mini Geek-a-Thon that will provide Technology Tools and Training to Bridge the Digital Divide.
Mini Geek-a-Thon (MGAT)
During a MGAT, volunteers either work in our warehouse refurbishing computers or spend time helping give computers to students. Anyone 12 or older can participate. All volunteers must register in advance.
About Kramden Institute:
Born out of a father/son project initiated in June 2003 by Mark and Ned Dibner, Kramden has awarded more than 30,000 computers to deserving students across 81 of North Carolina’s 100 counties.
Mission:
- Provide Technology Tools and Training to Bridge the Digital Divide
- Collect, refurbish and award computers to students and families without a computer in their home.
- Inspire students to succeed by teaching them critical computer, software and Internet skills.
- Recycle and reuse donated computers and parts; extending their lives and reducing e-waste.
