Satellite Meeting - November 2018: Communication Turbocharged: What I learned from spies and landscape artists
Abstract:
What do spies, landscape artists and project leaders have in common? Come to the PMI NC satellite meeting and find out. The Landscape artists and spies follow certain steps as if their life depends on them; the steps can be useful for us in project management. These steps incorporated early in your communication approach can turbocharge your performance and can help you exceed your peers. The more complex the project is, the more effective you can become. “Up” your communication game by slightly modifying your approach to your project communication tasks.
The presentation will include:
- What is common between project managers and spies
- Why you should practice what “they” practice
- An activity to solidify our learning
Learning Objectives:
List (and incorporate) two steps from the professions of spying and landscaping into your project communication practice.
