Abstract:

Practicing in the IT industry over four decades and teaching project management at the University level for the past twenty years has afforded me an opportunity to observe the convergence of project leadership theory and practical experience. I’ll share my views on some non-traditional leadership competencies and in an interactive session we’ll observe together how these competencies mesh with reality.

After participating in this session, you will:

  • Gain insight into non-traditional project leadership competencies
  • Be able to assess the virtues of traditional vs. non-traditional competencies
  • Have another view of project team core values
