Title of Conference Presentation: Hybrid Project Management: Strategies for Success

Description/Abstract:

As the landscape of project management continues to evolve, organizations are challenged with bigger, more complex projects.  Project practitioners (including Business/Project Analysts, Project Management Practitioners, Program/Portfolio Managers and Executive Leaders) have turned to innovative ways to deliver projects rapidly within scope and on budget.

Hybrid Project Management is a way to combine traditional (Waterfall) methodology and practices with Agile (Scrum, SAFE, Kanban) practices, to benefit from both traditional and agile methodologies in delivering successful projects.

This presentation will discuss Hybrid Project Management and how it has become more widely used by organizations, not only in the IT industry. It will share project outcomes and results from organizations to give participants good insights to consider why/how to use Hybrid Project Management in their projects.

  • Learning Objectives

1.  To understand Hybrid Project Management and the various ways in which it is implemented in various industries

2.  To learn what traditional and Agile project management practices, tools and techniques have been used (blended into a hybrid method)

3.  To explore project outcomes and results from organizations that use this versatile approach to project management
