  1. The workshop is free
  2. Space is limited if you register and cannot attend, please update the career team in order that your space can be  allocated to members on the standby list.
  3. Only registered attendees will be allowed to attend
  4. Sandwiches or other light refreshment will be provided.
  5. PDUs will be reported by NCPMI
  6. PMPs are required to provide their PMI numbers in order that their PDUs can be reported
  7. Please arrive on time in order that the workshop can start promptly.
  8. Please leave the facility in equal or better condition than you found it.

Abstract:

 

The mock interview provides a professional opportunity to practice interview skills and help perfect techniques to prepare and strategize for future interviews. During our careers we must continually grow and reinvent ourselves to become available for new opportunities.  This event will pair interviewee with two interviewers, one from an HR/Career Coaching perspective and one from a management perspective. Working with these professionals and getting feedback will enable participants to learn where their strengths lie and where they may need work to improve their performance

 

Preparation:

 

  • Review the attached mock job description
  • Prepare for the session by researching your company/industry of interest.
  • Investigate and identify the most common industry traits sought (analytical skills, communication skills, business knowledge and problem solving).

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • What Salary are you expecting?
  • Tell me about a time a project did not go well.
  • Tell me about a time when the project communications did not go well.
  • What was the biggest project you have managed?
