Abstract of the workshop:
This workshop is specifically designed to meet the needs of those seeking ways to effectively create powerful cover letters and resumes that will get their foot in the door to receive an invitation to interview. This workshop will assist participants in creating a cover letter to show personality, curiosity, and an interest in the field they are applying to work. Attendees will create winning resumes that communicate their strengths and focus on achievements to show the value they bring to an organization. This workshop requires pre-work that must be completed and is most effective for those who have:
*Documented and organized their achievements;
*Have a sample job description, created a cover letter, created a resume; and
*Researched the company they are seeking to obtain employment.
NOTE: Asterisk denotes pre-work. Please bring a stapled copy of your pre-work for the facilitator.

About the facilitator:
Maxine Phillips is a Certified Business Coach, Certified Highlands Consultant, Author of TRANSFORMATION Write + Share + Live, Creator of the Achievement Mindset Process™ (AMP™), and a seasoned Manager with over twenty-five years in human resources management, employee relations, leadership, and employee and organizational development. She provided leadership and professional education consultation to organizations such as ABB, Adecco, AT & T (formerly Illinois Bell and Southwestern Bell), Collin College (formerly Collin County Community College), Ericsson, Headway, and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. She is the President of GAMMS UNLIMITED, a professional career coaching organization. Maxine is the recipient of NCPMI Grateful Appreciation for Outstanding Commitment Award for Career Development and recipient of the Sanofi “GIVE” Award for her leadership and commitment to the American Diabetes Association. She also serves as an Executive Board Member of the American Diabetes Association Community Leadership Board and past Chair for Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes for Eastern, North Carolina.
