Your Career Strategy and Understanding the Recruiting Process

Abstract:

Not many job seekers understand the recruiting process and how companies go about hiring. The recruiting process differs if you are applying directly with companies that are hiring for their own open positions as compared to Executive Recruiters or Contingency Recruiters that are recruiting for their clients. Few job seekers understand how to work with an Executive Recruiter, Contingency Recruiter, and/or Corporate Recruiter as an integral part of an effective job strategy.

Companies pay millions of dollars to recruit top candidates by posting their job openings on websites like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Dice. They primarily focus on candidates’ resumes and LinkedIn profiles to understand what a candidate’s value is based on skills and experience. Most candidates do not understand how to properly promote their skills and experience through their resume and LinkedIn profile.

This presentation focuses on several areas of the recruiting process and helps candidates better understand the big picture when it comes to how companies recruit and hire. After participating in this presentation, you should be a more competitive candidate and you will be better prepared to capture the attention of a potential employer.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how the recruiting process works from the point of application to the point of negotiating an offer
