Abstract:

No one plans to fail. They just fail to plan. The failure in planning can lead to a mindset that success is untainable or only a select few can reach success. Your commitment to reaching success requires your careful application of 10 simple success planning steps that include changing your mindset, inspiring hope, writing out the plan, managing adversity and a few other strategies. Monica will offer practical milestones on how to plan to succeed. Monica, an accomplished planner, with more than 20 years of experience, will provide you with step-by-step insights on planning to succeed. After listening to her presentation, you will feel empowered to develop a success-focused plan for your future.

Speaker Bio:

Monica Custis has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2012.
She is an active member of two clubs, River City Toastmasters Club in Elizabeth City, NC and Com-Unity Speakers Toastmasters Club in Chesapeake, VA. Monica is an active participant in her clubs and has held several club leadership roles. She has conducted communication and leadership training presentations from the club level to the district level in both district 66 and district 117.
Monica has also served in district-level leadership roles as a club coach, a club mentor, division director and club growth director. She is currently serving as Program Quality Director for District 117-Eastern NC.

Monica has won a few speech contests, trained club leaders, made friends and most importantly, seen her life and the lives of others changed as they embrace the Toastmasters Program. The  support she has received and the opportunities she has been given as a member of her clubs has been amazing. The supportive and positive learning environment has truly ledto her personal growth.  She holds degrees in Business Administration and Accounting.  Monica lives in Elizabeth City, NC with her husband, Lee.
