Communications and Public Speaking CoP: The Civics of Leadership

With focus placed on accomplishment of the task, teams are usually able to achieve their goals. Imagine the impact if intentionality was thoughtfully placed on HOW we accomplish the task? How do you think people would feel when the task is completed? If you are the driver for your team, let’s consider how it would feel to be a passenger.

Dawn Collins

Dawn began her career in education teaching Math, during which time she received several awards for excellence in teaching. She then transitioned into Systems and Applications and over the next 20 years worked in the IT industry as a Software Engineer, Manager, and Project Manager, where she received the Woman of the Year Award from the American Association of Professional Woman.

Most recently, Dawn has been serving as a project management consultant for fortune 100 companies, governments, and utilities, specializing in helping organizations improve efficiencies. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Math Education from North Carolina State University and a Project Management Professional Certification with the Project Management Institute.
