 About the Speaker

DianeButler

Diane Butler has a passion for food and healthier living.  Her love for healthier eating and the desire to help those living with Diabetes encouraged her to change her career path and  pursue becoming a Registered Dietitian.  Diane has been a Registered Dietitian for almost 7 years, becoming a  Board Certified CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) recently. She has created a cookbook for her church organization with the collaboration of the Food Pantry volunteers, using foods that were given in that week's food distribution to make healthier recipes.  She has also volunteered with other health organizations like the Interfaith Food Shuttle, Taking Care of Your Diabetes and the  Raleigh Urban Mission, creating cooking demonstration videos for audiences affected by Diabetes, Heart Disease and Hypertension.  Diane earned her BA in Communications from Winthrop University and attended Meredith for Dietetics. When not pursuing her passions, Diane loves spending time with her husband, daughter and their two dogs-Finnick and Sully (both rescues).
