Higher Education CoP: Running a Meeting: Pre- and Post Work, and Staying on Track!

Higher Education CoP: Running a Meeting: Pre- and Post Work, and Staying on Track!

Abstract

Meetings are an essential component of organizational cohesion by identifying and discussing team objectives and trajectories. In an effort to ensure meeting effectiveness, careful consideration should be taken in the development of the pre-and post-work. Additionally, understanding the importance of maximizing the meeting’s efficacy through proper topic and time management is also beneficial. All of the above-mentioned play a key role in the successful execution of project management. Negative implications of not using these techniques can result in over or under-utilization of resources, missed deadlines, inactivity, and miscommunication. Therefore it is crucial that these tools are thoroughly understood and properly implemented.
