Abstract:

NCPMI in partnership with Apex System is offering a Web Seminar Series on Time Management and Communications for All Practitioners. Overview:

  • Are you in a long-term relationship? Recent statistics suggest approximately 14 to 15 million people in the U.S. considered themselves in a long- distance relationship. In 2016, a report released on global virtual teams suggested that the virtual team model is ubiquitous; approximately 45% of virtual team members never meet in person. Not only has the virtual team model grown in popularity, it has expanded is boundaries- more than half virtual teams include members from other nations.   
  • How we manage our long-term relationships matter. In this session, we will explore tips and techniques on how to strengthen our virtual teams to produce better results. Topics will include
    • How to communicate clearly and produce results
    • How to employ patterns of reasoning to promote collaboration
    • What to think about when preparing presentations to virtual team members
    • How to leverage silence for success

This workshop will be held for one hour 12pm – 1pm EST on the following date:

About the Speaker:


Lisa DiTullio is the principal of Your Project Office, a PMI® Registered Education Provider and consulting organization dedicated to introducing project management as a business competency and enabling organizations to improve decision-making, instill accountability, and enhance communications. Her group offers training programs and advisory services supporting project/business management and team-building activities, as well as project office support services to organizations through an outsourced partnership.

Lisa is the editor of ProjectBestPractices, a quarterly newsletter from ProjectWorld, a regular contributor to the Silicon Valley PM and Project Connections blogs, a contributor to PM Network and a distance instructor for Prodevia Learning. She is also the author of Simple Solutions: How “Enterprise Project Management” Supported Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s Journey from Near Collapse to #1 (iUniverse) and Project Team Dynamics: Enhancing Performance, Improving Results (Management Concepts) which was recently translated by The Publishing House of Electronics Industry in Beijing, China. Her third book, “The Government Manager’s Guide to Leading Teams” was just released. She is a recognized international speaker in her field.
