Chapter Meeting – March 2021: “Everyone Communicates Few Connect Effectively”Virtual Meeting – Conferencing details will be distributed prior to the meeting Abstract: We are all different, but predictably different and understanding the patterns of people provides a very valuable key to getting along with each other. This session is to answer the question "Why do they act that way?" and provide an insight into the four different communication styles. Learn specific strategies and tools that can help you put others first, to listen well, and to find common ground. Whether you are a leader trying to get people to follow you or you are desiring to build a stronger bond with your co- workers, connecting with others will help you identify with and relate to those around you in a way that dramatically increases your influence. Did you know that productivity increases by 25% when employees feel engaged with their work and connected with their co-workers? Does it seem as if nobody is listening to what you say? Maybe they’re not listening – because you are not really connecting, even though you are communicating. Learn how to recognize each style and how adapting our style to that of others will increase your influence with them. |
