Beatrice “Bea” Muganda spent the early years of her career working in various private sector accounting roles. Some of the positions she held were as a financial analyst, manager, and controller. In 2001, Bea started a Durham based CPA firm that served individuals and businesses. In the most recent past, Bea has worked as a Software Implementation Manger, Business Analyst and currently works as a Project Manager.
Bea’s prior volunteer experience includes 3 years with the National Association of Women Business Owners, NAWBO, where she served in a financial capacity with the responsibilities of overseeing the accounts payable and receivables, annual budget, and the preparation of the organization’s financial statements and 990 return. In 2017, Bea joined NCPMI and began serving on the membership committee’s volunteer onboarding team. In March of 2020 Bea joined the finance NCPMI volunteer team as the Director of Finance and on January a, 2021, Bea transitioned into the role of VP of Finance. In her current role, Bea leads a team of volunteers who work to ensure the organization’s continued financial health and orderly administration of activities that enable NCPMI to successfully execute planned events and carry out its mission to the organization’s members.
In her spare time, Bea enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, cooking, sewing, gardening, trying her hand at various home improvement projects, and taking on new challenges.
