Melvin has more than 30 years of experience in management, budget, federal and state programs, and financial accounting. He retired as Assistant State Budget Officer for Justice and Public Safety and General Government and is currently working as a Management Consultant for the N.C. Division of Public Health. Melvin’s previous NCPMI leadership experience includes serving on the Board of Directors in the following positions: VP of Finance; Executive Vice President; President; and Past President.
During the 2019 calendar year, Melvin will collaborate with the NCPMI Board of Directors to leverage NCPMI funds with effective and timely business and managerial service delivery, which will realign business and financial requests to program outcomes. This includes more robust and beneficial Chapter meetings, guest speakers, networking opportunities, interactions with stakeholders, and scholarship opportunities for NCPMI members and non-members pursuing an education in field of project management, with special consideration given to students attending post-secondary institutions in the State of North Carolina.
As VP of Finance, he will continue to maximize and leverage NCPMI resources in such a way as to add value to the chapter’s mission, goals, and objectives
