Abstract

No one will argue all projects have challenges, but did you know that most challenges are caused by people? In fact, throughout my 18-yr career, one of the most common complaints among project managers is having to babysit others to complete tasks. In other cases, project managers are the ones tagged as babysitters, also known as micromanagers. Placing this label on ourselves or others, is one of the root causes for disaster projects.

Please join tonight’s conversation as we revisit the project manager’s role, the challenges we face, and how we can embrace our role to prevent and prepare for those challenges. At the end of our chat, you will discover (or rediscover) the leader in you. You will also take home a strategy on how to increase the success of your projects.

Learning Objectives:

  • The role of a project manager
  • Challenges we face as project managers
  • Embracing our leadership role from the moment we inherit a project
