Synopsis:
Economic change is driving an increased need for organizations to adapt quickly to dynamic market conditions. Change events are impacting our professional lives at an ever-increasing pace, and yet we are still surprised when they happen. While change is inevitable, and may differ from one organization to another, it is imperative that organizations manage change and motivate their workforce accordingly. To make sure change doesn’t derail the project, the organization must prepare for change in every project initiative. The overall success of the project depends upon the team’s commitment, which is impacted by their level of motivation. The key to managing the change is by motivating employees and the teams they work in. Failure to motivate can lead to reduced productivity, increased attrition and declining levels of trust.

The presentation begins by explaining the meaning of change and its impact to an organization. It then indicates how the organization needs to understand the factors behind motivation and how those factors can be utilized to motivate the organizations’ project teams. The presentation concludes by integrating the two themes to demonstrate how the organization can create the right environment to sustain their competitive advantage through enhanced workforce performance.
