NCPMI Member orientation sessions are being offered in a virtual setting. Join us to find out about the benefits of being a Chapter member. The session will introduce you to the various program offerings and you can see how to best  use your membership. Member orientation sessions are for:

• all chapter members who are interested in learning more about the opportunities and benefits the chapter provides
• existing members who want to find out how to get more involved

The orientation will last 30 minutes, to be followed by an optional additional 15 minutes of virtual networking for those that would like to stay.

Abstract

Throughout the world people are full of ideas on how to do things Better, Faster, Cheaper.  But when the rubber meets the road, most of them are not successful in bringing their product to market.  The High-Tech Entrepreneurship Course at NCSU is focused on flipping this statistic by teaching students how to take a new technology, wrap just the right product around it, and bring it to the Market that will benefit most. 

This is without a doubt a Hybrid Project and through this presentation we’ll get a bird’s eye view of how it is done.  If you think that an endeavor such as this is only for graduate students, think again.  This program has been adopted by the Honors Program of Apex Friendship High School and our leaders of tomorrow.

Course Overview:

This course will help you to learn the skills, techniques, and mindset needed to manage work using an agile approach.  You will learn how to collaborate with stakeholders and support self-organizing teams to develop solutions incrementally to increase efficiency and effectiveness. You will also gain the agile project management toolkit needed to work more cohesively, communicate more effectively, and support teams with leadership and coordination and facilitation.
