Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my spouse, friend or caregiver?

Absolutely! Transitioning to a civilian career and life is not something you can do alone. Your family, friends and caregivers will be instrumental to your success. Information and resources shared at these events will benefit not only you, but your support system as well.

Can I attend if I haven't yet transitioned out of the military?

Yes, in fact now is the BEST time to attend, while you're considering your options. Building your network now will make all the difference when the time comes.

What if I'm not yet sure what I want to do?

One of the goals of this event is to present you with options. There may be career paths you haven't yet considered. The benefit of hearing the panels, networking with hiring companies, and participating in Career Path Explorations is to get exposure to multiple different options.

My resume is not yet drafted (or complete / ready). Is it still worthwhile to attend?

Many transitioning veterans and military members need help building a civilian resume. You'll meet resources who can help you "translate" your military experience into marketable civilian skills that hiring companies are looking for!
