Chapter Meeting – July 2023: Decision-Making in the Age of BIG-DATAAbstract: Today, in the face of information overload, and choice overload, our decision-making tends to become overly influenced by personal biases, intuition, prior experience, illusions, and perception. This workshop will help you recognize, and identify the Perils & Pitfalls of Decision-Making; and make you aware of the Decision-Contamination, and Decision-Manipulation. Finally, we will get an insight into Analytical Decision-Making, as a remedy. We will also present the tools, and techniques, available to make decisions that are timely, consistent, optimal, and defensible. The greatest misunderstanding about negotiating is that it is adversarial in nature. In reality, it is a problem-solving process where each side sees the other as a potential partner – it is not designed for those with a trial or debating mentality.
