Cultivating Calmness During Stressful Times

Virtual Meeting

Abstract:
Stress is a part of life and impacts all of us. Results from the 2024 American Psychiatric Association mental health poll showed that 53% of adults in the US reported stress as having the biggest impact on their mental health while 43% of adults reported feeling more anxious than they did in the previous year. Project managers regularly experience stress in their day-to-day work and if left unchecked could negatively impact health, physical and mental well-being and job performance. People experience stress differently and what is a stressor for one person may not be a stressor for another person because we each respond to stressors differently. However, multiple strategies can be used to cultivate greater calmness in one’s life during stressful times and mitigate stress.
