Social Good & Networking Event: Food Bank (Raleigh)

FREE for all NCPMI members and non members

Event Description: NCPMI is working with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to lend a helping hand!  The Warehouse Project volunteers will participate in any of the following tasks:

  • Sorting out produce and place them in family – size bags.
  • Sorting out donations from retail stores
  • Building CSFP boxes for senior citizens.
  • Sorting and inspecting food drive donations from individuals and corporate donations.
  • Other activities might be available upon donations.

Please remember that closed - toe shoes are required at all times while volunteering at the food bank

Abstract:

Project managers focus on plans. We will step back and learn to collaborate. Then shine the spotlight on communication. These are the true lingua Franca, Power(soft) skills. This interactive workshop is going to focus on Communication skills for project managers to effectively communicate with developers and business analysts. This will be an interactive session. We use role play and exercises to learn and enhance your soft skills. Learning objectives: 1. Questions to identify basic personality profiles 2. Techniques to listen for alignment at work and home 3. Develop a personal connection with someone in 5 minutes or less
